Description

Oliang is Thai iced coffee the way street stalls make it: strong, dark and roasty, with a toasty, slightly nutty edge from the roasted corn and soybean in the blend. This Pantai Norasingh Thai iced coffee mix is unsweetened, so you sweeten it as you like, usually with sugar and sweetened condensed milk, and pour it over plenty of ice.

How to make it

Traditional oliang is brewed through a cloth filter sock. Spoon about 4 tablespoons of powder into a clean sock set over a pitcher, pour 2 cups (480 ml) of just-boiled water through it slowly, then pour the brew back through the sock once or twice for a stronger cup. Sweeten while hot, pour over a tall glass of ice, and add evaporated or sweetened condensed milk if you like.
