At ArtisanThai, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase of our premium Thai botanical infusions. As we sell food and beverage items, we have established these guidelines to align with UK consumer laws (including the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015).
1. Right to Cancel (14-Day Cooling-Off Period)
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order for any reason within 14 days from the day you (or a third party indicated by you) receive the goods.
- How to Cancel: To exercise your right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision by a clear statement (e.g. an email to service@artisanthai.com).
- Refund of Delivery Costs: If you cancel your order in full within the 14-day window, we will refund all payments received from you, including the costs of outbound delivery (except for supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
- Return Costs: You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods to us.
- Refund Timeline: We will make the refund without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day we receive the goods back or (if earlier) 14 days after the day you provide evidence that you have returned the goods.
2. Hygiene & Food Safety Exceptions
Due to the perishable nature of food and beverage products, and in accordance with the health and hygiene exemptions under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013:
- Any tea packages, food items, or botanical infusions that have been opened, unsealed, or tampered with after delivery are exempt from the right to cancel and return and cannot be refunded or exchanged.
- To be eligible for a return under the 14-day cooling-off period, items must be unopened, in their original sealed packaging, with all seals intact.
3. Faulty or Misdescribed Goods (Consumer Rights Act 2015)
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be as described, fit for purpose, and of satisfactory quality. If your product is faulty, damaged in transit, or misdescribed:
- You have a right to a full refund within 30 days of delivery.
- After 30 days, you may be entitled to a replacement or a partial refund.
- If your goods are faulty, we will cover or reimburse the reasonable costs of return shipping. Please contact us at service@artisanthai.com before returning faulty items so we can arrange the return method.
4. General Refund Terms
- Refunds will be processed using the same payment method you used for the original transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise.
- We do not charge any restocking fees, administrative fees, or deductions (such as the legacy 17% import-fee deduction) on lawful returns.
- Wholesale and bulk orders are subject to the same statutory consumer rights under applicable UK law.
