Description

These Thai tea capsules put a glass of cha yen inside a capsule machine. Each one brews a dark, malty shot of Thai tea in about the time it takes to pull an espresso. Pour the shot over ice, add milk, and it turns the creamy orange-brown of Thai iced tea.

Red tea powder (Assam), sugar, artificial flavor, FD&C Yellow No. 6 (INS 110)

How to make it

Insert one capsule and brew it as a shot into a small heatproof glass. Stir in sugar or sweetened condensed milk while the shot is hot, then pour it over a tall glass of ice and add milk. For a longer, lighter glass, top the shot with cold water before the milk, or skip the ice and add warm milk for a hot cup.
